I have a canon PIXMA MP610. it was printing fine, and suddenly, it came up with the following error message. "printer error has occurred. turn off power, and turn on again." we have turned off. unplugged it. multiple times. and let it sit overnight with the cord unplugged, and it is still giving us that message when we turn it back on. Please advise if there is any thing else we can do to fix it. we rely on it every day at our office. thanks .

Hi my name is XXXX XXX will be advising you on this issue. Basically a printer error is a mechanical malfunction within the printer. The ONLY thing you can do is remove the ink cartridges and lay them on a paper towel. Remove the print head using the lever and inspect underneath it. Look for foreign objects that may have jammed inside the mechanism of the carriage AND feeder. If you can not see anything obvious after you have looked thoroughly, the printer will need to go to service as it has a broken part which must be replaced by a service center only. Thanks Mike
